An educational board designed to provide accurate and accessible information about breast cancer symptoms, and the importance of early detection.
By combining interactive silicone phantoms with engaging visuals, we aim to empower individuals to take charge of their breast health and promote proactive measures for prevention.
Is the board even helpful?
To determine the efficacy of the educational board we decided to conduct a study with 2 questionnaires: one just after the use of the board and another one 10 days after. 15 persons answer our questionnaires, which showed that:
After using the board, about 5% of the participants started to perform self-examination every month.
After using the board, the number of people knowing that breasts should be checked on a monthly basis increased for about 50%.
More than 50% of the board users found that the silicon breast phantoms are quite realistic and feel like real breasts.
About 75% of those who participated in the study were comfortable while using the board.
By promoting self-examination we could encourage early detection which is crucial in the fight of breast cancer.
