It's not the most glamorous topic, but it's important to know the risk factors so you can take care of those fabulous breasts of yours. Here are some factors that increase your risk of developing breast cancer, and we'll try to make it as funny and easy to understand as possible!

Age

Unfortunately, getting older is a risk factor for breast cancer. So let's all agree to age gracefully, but also stay vigilant with those mammograms.

If you're taking hormones for menopause symptoms, it can increase your risk of breast cancer. So if you're hot-flashing like crazy, talk to your doctor about the best options for you.
 

Hormone therapy

Unfortunately, carrying extra weight also increases your risk of breast cancer. So let's strive to maintain a healthy weight for our bodies

Obesity

If your grandma, mom, or aunt had breast cancer, your risk is higher too. It's not exactly the kind of family heirloom we want to inherit, so make sure to talk to your doctor about genetic testing if you have a family history of breast cancer.

Family history

We love a good wine night with the girls, but drinking alcohol increases your risk of breast cancer. So let's drink responsibly and limit our alcohol intake.
